St.Nicholas, known worldwide as Santa Claus, was bom in Pacara about 300 AD and lived and died in Myra. After his death, the people of Myra built a i hurch in his honor and buried him in a sarcophagus in it. An earthquake in 529 destroyed the church, so a new, larger one was built, Crusaders and merchants from Bari, Italy broke open the sarcophagus in J 087 and look his bones to Bari, However, some of St. Nicholas bones are on display at the Anialya Museum
